Finished another knitting project! This time, a bright, green and blue summer purse.

It's as long as and about two inches wider than a DVD case. I'm rather proud of it.

The lady at the department store the other day said I should start selling some of the things I make. What say you, Flist? Should I?

And, of course, I screw up my HTML tags. Those italics were meant to be striked out.

Temptress. *wants cat-hat liek wo*

HTML and I have been at odds lately. I feel your pain.

But you could totally stake out a corner of webspace, or start pitching to friends and acquaintances who would then agree to pimp you freely when they get compliments. There's even things like getting a table at a fair or flea market if you can pull together enough FO's. There's always a market for quality knitted things at places like that. It's just a matter of how much time/energy you want to expend on this, because you could seriously take it anywhere. :)

*grins, shifty* I've already picked out three local festivals and craft fairs at which I could claim a table or booth, if I did decide to sell my things. :D!

See me have to learn how to manage a website, though. And HTML is already not my friend.

Hee! Lookit you, all planful and stuff. ;)

Websites aren't that hard to manage, especially if you have either a friend who can design for you or have access to a design program. Order forms are little more than snippets of information that get filtered into an email. And order forms aren't even mandatory. I've seen websites that effectively are like "This is what I got. If you see anything you want, email me [insert email link here] to place your order."

Not!cat iPod holder? *dies* You're posting pics of that when completed, right?

I'm thinking about doing them by commission only, at first, until I figure out things like how much time it's going to take me to make each thing.

Already posted! *beams*

Sounds like a prudent plan. And you're guaranteed to have enough people chomping at the bit to commission you, that you'll probably be able to keep busy enough with that for a while. ;)
