Am back. Thanksgiving was lovely and cold up in Chicago. Got little sleep, to prepare me for this week and next week. I have So Much To Do.

So I'm going to give myself more to do.

Does anyone want anything for Christmas? I can make icons, write drabbles, and sometimes do fanart. *pokes flist* Whatchoo want for Christmas?

(And Alana? I already have your gift. I'll be mailing it to you before Christmas, along with your souvenirs all the way back from this summer. *sheepish*)

In other news, I found a warestone today as it was staring at me from just off the sidewalk. It's a perfectly smooth quartz pebble. It now resides in my pocket.

*waves at warestone*

Everyone say hi to whichever side might be watching!

Since I'm sure you really need many more things to do...a Discworld and/or Indiana Jones (mmm, young Harrison Ford...) icon would be nice. Or a Havvie drabble. I've been in the mood for Havelock lately :) (poor Sev is being neglected).

In return, so I don't feel like I'm *totally* taking advantage of you, I can, er...perhaps write a drabble (it'd be much more interesting than a college essay). Or lend you Havvie for a week, I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

Just make sure you put the warestone somewhere safe while showering. Merry can be such a voyeuristic bastard.

I'll make a note and be on the lookout for likely pictures to use for the icons. *grin*

A drabble? One on Merriman and Will, please? Something snarky?

(I agree about the warestone, and have been careful. Merry is a dusty old voyeuristic vulture.)

What's a warestone?

In Susan Cooper's The Dark is Rising sequence, warestones are sometimes (once, really) used by the Light and Dark to moniter a specific place. (aware stones, 'warestones. Simple corruption, dropping of vowels.) The one in canon was a small, perfectly smooth quartz pebble. The Dark was keeping watch over a place and its inhabitants through the stone, but later on the Light was able to use the Dark's warestone for plot advancement and such.

I was walking to class today and saw a perfectly smooth white quartz pebble, and my first thought was of the warestones.

Yes! Yes, you do!

They totally rock!

$5.99 a book at most places! Five books! Wonderful books that will never get old, except for those that fall to pieces after too many readings....

*sheepish*

*giggles* I have one, too -- we really need to figure out how to talk to each other through them. ^_^

We should!

*tells whoever is listening through warestone to tell Gramarye that Traci said "Hi!"*

*also tells whoever is listening to talk Gramarye into bringing Merry back to Milliways some time soon*

*waves to warestone (randomly guessing the general direction)* Hi to whatever side might be watching! No prejudice whatsoever. I'll show you my dance routine for my play audition *dances jitterbug dance*. This is of course assuming that you are able to see me in front of my computer screen in North Carolina.

Whee! Souvenirs! Shiny!

Also, I have Plots on what you're getting for Christmas. It is, of course, a matter of Alana making it to the particular store.

I may not be able to guarantee the present in time for Christmas, but we can hope. :D
