Happy Fourth of July everyone! Joyeux quatreme de Juillet! (so there, French-haters.)

I hope everyone has a good time having a cookout with friends and family. *Traci hands out lemonade or iced tea with lemon, depending on the person's choice* And good luck avoiding your family after the cookout when you've had enough of them and want to get away. I wish you good luck at this, because I also will need all the help I can get.

Most families have home-grilled steaks or hamburgers on the Fourth, while my family has salmon. I have nothing against salmon, in fact it's my second favorite fish, but I find it amusing to have it for the family lunch on the Fourth of July. heheh. *sarc* We're such rebels.

Salmon sounds delicious. I've never had it home grilled before...is it marinated or something like that?

We didn't grill the salmon today, though I must remember to try it in the future. It sounds pretty good.
Today, we bought two half-fish fillets and baked them in the oven covered with light olive oil, vidalia onions(however you spell it. It's pronounced "vid-`ail-ia"), and green bell peppers. Every so often while it was cooking we'd spoon some of the juice onto it, to keep it from drying out. It was really good. It's even better if served with a kind of light pasta, so I made some my Dill Pasta. There were no left-overs for that. It's delicious.
