Don't be hasty, little hobbits

Damn those hobbits move fast. I got two more miles in, tonight, putting me at a total of 22 miles in my Walk to Rivendell, or four miles into the hobbits' second day. HOW ARE THEY SO FAST?

But I should be able to get two more miles in tomorrow. It's supposed to be sunny and 60 degrees. :D

The hobbits aren't doing anything with their days except walking. You're not keeping up with them because you're trying to do other things as well.

I happen to know for a fact that you personally can walk thirty miles in two days, as I was walking next to you when you managed it.

Actually, I just checked my records. It was twenty-one miles, and it took all of both days. But we weren't that far behind those cunning hobbits.

It's true! I really hope to get back across the pond and hike the Ridgeway again. Maybe do a longer stretch of it over a few more days.

...In late spring or early autumn, rather than February. :D
