1) In all honesty, for probably the same reason you approached me. I had heard about you from a rather reliable source, and was curious.
2) There is a book we brought back from that lovely library in Amsterdam. I cannot actually recall the title, but it was about the limitations and some of the more experimental branches of magic. It reminds me of you.
3) You are very good at controlling what emotions show on your face, Tom, but I doubt you will ever be able to control that smile when you are talking about Door. I almost hope that you never will be able to.
4) *laughs* Definitely the library. Ever the library.
5) A king snake, one who relies on his own strength without the need for poison, and can take on those snakes who rely upon poison for their strength.
6) Will you show me around London Below, some time? I'm ever so curious about it, with all the stories I've heard. I am afraid I am pestering my friends with my curiosity, but do the advantages of giving your heart to someone you love truly outweigh the pain and suffering that doing so can bring?

The answer to 6 is yes. A thousand times yes. The worst moments, thinking I'd lost her, being separated from her, have been far outweighed by the joy I've felt when I'm with her.

1) I was possibly under the effects of catnip, and do not honestly remember why I approached you. Probably because you looked like an easy mark for free food and scritches. *grins*
2) I do not think I know you well enough to ascribe a book to you, yet.
3) I was right about you being an easy mark. For scritches, at least.
4) I will have to think more on this, I believe.
5) Something young, who is still slightly blinded by the world around him as he tries to find where he fits. Dangerous, but in an as-yet untrained way. A young wolf, if that is not yet too cliche to be said.

1) *runs hand back through hair, grinning* Who wouldn't want to go talk to the young woman who fell through the roof to great effect?
2) I think of the Belisaerian Spring festival dance, a song that does not have to try hard to be a thing of beauty.
3) You have a box of dark chocolate truffles and a case of Atlantean hidden somewhere across the lake, from a plan of ours that we never got around to trying. ...though even I do not remember where I hid them.
4) I think... *he smiles* ...my favorite memories of you are the times when we have danced. Dancing, surrounded by lights out in the snow, until the rising of a winter sun. Or in Belisaere, surrounded by the music and the color of the festival. Not burdened by any thoughts. Those are moments I treasure. I hold them close.
