Back, for the last time.

Hey, I'm finally back from all the trips. Band started yesterday, so I'm going to be continually busy for two weeks, and then school starts, I think. I had a lot of fun in Chicago, as did Saphyria, since it's so continually windy there. It was great. Within two blocks of the hotel we were staying in was a nice-sized (three level) Border's bookstore. I broke down and bought Hawksong by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, one of the authors Alana and I follow. I also found something that I had been wanting, just because I thought it would be cool to have. I bought Silver on the Tree, the audio version. I've been listening to it, and laugh continually at Will's voice. I had forgotten that he's only 12 in SotT, and his voice hasn't broken yet. Still amusing. Merriman sounds too frail. James sounds too snobby. Stephen's voice is perfect. I have to agree with Alana now, Stephen rocks.
One of my saxophone section is angry that I'm now section leader, and not him. He's failed his junior year and is a fifth-year senior. I've never failed, and am just a fourth-year senior. But he assumed that he'd be section leader because he's older. Okay. I was second chair last year, under the Then Section leader, this guy was next to last chair, out of nine saxes. Who should lead? Seniority, or Ability? Luckily, the band director put me in charge.
Bwah.
Now I must go, as band starts in 20 minutes. It's wrong to start marching band at 8:30 in the morning and go til 3 pm. Wrong, I tell you!
Ack! Gotta go!
