Apr. 2nd, 2007 05:56 amThis has got to be one of the strangest semesters I've ever had. We have four classes as usual, yes, but we only meet once a week and our work load is so very strange. We have a lot of reading to do every week. Insane amounts of reading that everyone (even the overachievers like myself) gave up on finishing every week. But, proportionally, amazingly little of our work is for a grade.
In Victorian Lit, we've had... one grade? An essay exam I made an A on, for which I was happy. We have another essay exam at the end of this month, and the walking journal we've been doing, and that'll be it. I've done well on the first exam, and I've been doing consistently well on the Walking Journal, so I think I'll pull at A out of the class.
In Shakespeare, it's been a bit more like we're used to. We've had one paper due, which I made a B+ on, and one exam, which I made an A on. We have another paper due next week, and then an exam at the end of the semester. I think I shall do pretty well on them, now that I know what is expected.
In British Life and Culture, we've all been doing presentations on various subjects, and we did a graded exercise in class using various newspapers, but our professor hasn't given us any indication of how we did on these things. None of us have any idea how we're doing in that class, really. We have a paper due next week and then an exam for which we already know the questions at the end of the semester.
In British Art, we have our Art Journals as our only grade. I got an A the first time they were graded, and we're waiting to get ours back from the second grading. I should do fine.
It's getting to the point where all of our weekends are being taken with school stuff. I have one free weekend left, and I want to get to Ireland with that. Then I'll be coming home. I'll miss having the freedom being in London brings, but... to tell the truth, I'm ready to be on familiar territory again. Also, I miss my people back home. Heck, I miss my car.
Also, I'm ready for this cough to go away. London air is clearly trying to kill me.
