Afterwords: Words for afterwards
Mar. 15th, 2007 06:47 pmAm back in chilly, grey London! I loved Florence very much, and didn't really want to leave, but I am also reeeeeeaaaallllly glad to be back on more familiar territory. Also in a city I don't readily associate with serial killers.
But anyway.
There will be pictures. Maybe. Remind me. I took over 200 pictures in my two days there, and that was with not being able to take my camera with me into the Uffizi. I would have gone through both memory cards instead of just one, if I had been able to take pictures in there. It is so overwhelmingly wonderful.
Yes. Pictures, eventually.
But I am back. Safely, though very tired. My back aches horribly from lugging my backpack around everywhere. My hip hurts again, as it hasn't since I recovered from the Ridgeway Trek. I get to sleep on my other side, tonight, or else it'll protest in the morning. Joy.
I am far too warm. I am terribly thirsty, and my cough is back with a vengeance. Oh well. I only have another day of Antibiotics... Bleh.
I broke down and googled Florence Yarn Stores while I was there, and bought three big skiens of soft cotton cord yarn, made by the people I bought it from, for 4 Euros. Total. It's a lovely wine-red color. It makes me happy. I've already finished my first project from it, and have a skien and a half left! There will be pictures!
Later. Now, I sleep.
Good night, all. I hope you are safe and well, wherever you all are. *snugz*
