My Weekend In Illinois
Mar. 11th, 2006 10:28 pmWell, we went to the mineral and gem show, I got a pretty piece of bismuth and a geode. They're both sparkly. I started on Terry Prattchet's Thud!, and it's pretty good.
We watched Fantastic Four tonight and my sister, father, and I were yelling "Someone shoot the little satellite on Dr Doom's head!" even though, of course, there wasn't one. Robert was aghast at there being such geekery in his house.
My nieces and I played Oregon Trail II and I taught them about gangrene and scurvy and typhoid fever... and why, when a party member gets bitten by a rattlesnake, you should not have the person run along side the wagon to keep them awake. Nor should you continuously give them laudanum for the pain.
:D
I figured out the design for my Sekrit Knitting Project that I've been working on. I think it's going to go well. Bwahahaha. Now I need some green chenille yarn. *shifty*
We leave for home tomorrow morning, early. Bleh. I am probably going to sleep much of the way, if the weather's not too bad. We had hail for quite a while today. Meghan got scared and thought we were going to have a tornado. I explained that if we hurried, we could go outside and make hailmen (like snowmen, only harder) before it all melted. Making jokes such as that, as well as attempting to teach her to knit, kept her mind off the storm.
Now it's 10:30 or so... and I'm bored. I'm not tired, really, but I'm also not energetic. I am... bored.
bleh.
Talk to you all tomorrow evening, most likely! *hugs*
